Born and bred Scouser, finally living back in the motherland. In a former life I was variously an HTML/CSS coder, a web analyst and a pc support tech. I am currently a data analyst, working in news media. At work I am also an advocate and admin for a Menopause network. Creatively I am a scrapbooker, photographer and sometime writer.
I love music and I live in the very epicentre all things musical, I also love to read and currently co-host a monthly book club. As well as photography my creative outlet is making things in card and paper from flowers to houses to cards. I’m a Mac girl and my camera is a Canon, though these days my iPhone is pretty much my main mode of taking pictures.
I am also the creator of Lis Garrett Photography. Currently just me and my camera going to gigs and sharing the photos with the world but if anyone wants to pay me to take photos for them I won’t say no! I take lots of photos of flowers and nature too and have a gardening blog which I started in 2020 when I began to work from home instead of working in an office.
I am hard of hearing (HOH) and several years ago I began to wear hearing aids and they changed my life. I have taken and passed BSL Levels 1 and 2. Learning this beautiful language is a joy and privilege.
