About Me

Born and bred Scouser, finally living back in the motherland. In a former life I was variously an HTML/CSS coder, a web analyst and a pc support tech. I am currently taking care of all things data driven for the Liverpool Echo. I’m a scrapbooker, photographer and sometime writer. I love yoga, cycling and when I can drag myself and my creaky back out of bed, running. Slowly. And not long distances.

I love music and I live in the very epicentre all things musical, I also love to read and currently co-host a monthly book club. As well as photography my creative outlet is making things in card and paper from flowers to houses to cards. I’m a Mac girl and my camera is a Canon.

I am hard of hearing (HOH) and a couple of years ago I began to wear hearing aids and they changed my life. I am currently studying BSL Level 2 after passing Level 1 last summer. Learning this beautiful language is a joy and privilege.

I am also the creator of Lis Garrett Photography. Currently just me and my camera going to gigs and sharing the photos with the world but if anyone wants to pay me to take photos for them I won’t say no! I take lots of photos of flowers and nature too, I have an Instagram account dedicated to my morning commute from Bootle to Liverpool city centre.
